Resurrection Sunday

While most people are on their way home from their Holy Week vacation, this is a time for me to reflect and thank God for His son Jesus Christ’s Resurrection. Through the resurrected Jesus, I am alive in Jesus. St.Paul says “If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. . . .”

So what does the resurrection means to me? By heart, I believe that the resurrection of Jesus demonstrates the power of a true God. It manifest the truth that he is what he said; That Jesus Christ is God. That he was the opposite of what the Jews said about Him. It also demonstrates that the teaching of Jesus Christ was true. And lastly, it Justify that “He died for our sins and he was raised for our justification” as said in Romans 4:25.

Resurrection is the very heart of Christianity. Romans 6:4 say “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. “ therefore, the power of our Christian life today, is the power of His resurrection.
Romans 10:9 told us how to be saved. It says that “if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” There have been accounts of disbelieve about the resurrection of Jesus. But these scripture from the Bible tells us that our salvation depends on our faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And because He is alive, I know I can face tomorrow. Fears has gone knowing that He holds our future. Truly life is worth living because He lives.
