Family Bonding for a Healthy Family

Family bonding is essential in building a strong family ties. It develops harmony and trust among family members and helps build a positive relationship between your kids. It also have a big contribution in your child personality development and obtaining self-esteem. 

If you are a parent and you lack time for your family bonding, I suggest that you should consider revamping your schedule and prioritize your family aside from your work. 

There are many ways that you can do with your kids that could be a form of bonding. It need not to be expensive, what is important is your time with them. Here are few inexpensive way of bonding that might help you catch up with your kids. 

  • Make use of your Home Entertainment.                                                                    Most of us have this at home. So, use your expensive home entertainment appliances that lies on your stylish home entertainment furniture to bond with your kids. You can join them watch tv or movies, play computer games, play musical instrument and other form of home entertainment available at your home.
  • Eat with them. Apart from the usual 3 meals a day, find time to eat with your kids with their favourite food.
  • Unleash your creativeness. Artist or not, help him do creative things by unleashing an artist in you even if your not. Eventually, you may find coloring is a relaxing activity for both of you.
  • Play with them. Don’t just play computer games; try to play games that need physical interaction with your kids.

Nothing is better than alone time with your kids. According to an institution, family bond will bring light to the challenges of improving your kid’s personality particularly in boosting his confidence. The strongest connection only happens during your alone time with your child. So find time to be alone with your kids and you will see a positive relationship between you and your kids.

  1. I totally agree with you on this. Nothing beats spending time with the family. I do enjoy just hanging out at home with my daughter. We watch DVDs together, or do arts and crafts (though I have yet to develop my art skills).

  2. Amen to what you’ve said! While I’m a working mom, I make it a point to spend quality time with my son. I’m also lucky that I’ve been working from home for 3 years now, so I get to see him the whole day plus attend to his needs, too.

  3. It’s important to have bonding moments with the kids. This way, we can be a big part of a child’s formative years when it comes to values, beliefs, etc…

  4. This is exactly what my hubby thought…he transformed our living room to a ful entertainment room and he sees to it that he takes the kids out to bike or play ball.
