There will be a long holiday next week in celebration of Hari Raya Eidillfitri which marks the end of the Islamic Holy Fasting; the Ramadan where Muslim are required to abstain from something that they are satisfied most in between sunrise to sunset.
During Hari Raya, most people here in Malaysia will go back to their Kampung (village) to be with their family and others would go for vacation to relax and unwind after a long period of probably stressful work. For us, as much as we wanted to travel for this holiday, we decided not to go for one since it is inconvenient to go for a leisure vacation with an infant. Instead, we will be having our general cleaning since its been a long while since we had our last general cleaning. We were also invited to an Eidillfitri open house celebration by my husband’s colleagues and my former colleagues. It’ll be nice seeing former officemates in a while.
To all my Muslim Friends, wishing you Selamat Hari Raya (Happy Eid). Enjoy the long vacation friends!
