Sunday Reflection: When you say nothing at all

This week’s reflection is taken from Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

As it has always been said, it is very difficult to be a Christian and at times we even fail to make our Christianity known to the world. When we make it known, and we should, that we are Christians we must be willing to live the life to allow others to see what Christ like living is. We need to be careful what communications pass through our lips. We need to be careful how we speak. We need to make sure that we are talking the way Jesus would.

Some Christians fail to remember that they are under the microscope. Which means that sometimes Christians are the focus of some people in the church. And If someone could find a Christian doing something wrong that would give them the chance to charge the Church as being immoral which evidently ends up charging Christ since it is his Church.

We need to try and tame our tongues; they most surely can get us in much trouble. If we are going to allow ourselves to say things we should not, we must realize that earthly wisdom is not from above. We must realize that if we speak of things above, as we should, then our speech would have to be pure.

The words of your mouth lead to failure or success. Your life will reflect the words that you say. Speak positive, uplifting words and life will manifest that way. And the next time you start to speak in a way, in which you should not, think about the judgment you will receive for such evil talking.

Therefore feed your soul with the Words of God. Read the bible daily and be a doer of the things that you have read. If you are packed with God’s words and with God’s Love, for sure your will be overflowed with positive words or what comes in your mouth will be more of edification and encouraging words from God.
You are in charge of the words that you speak. So you have to take responsibility of all the words that will come out your mouth. Think first before your speak. Listen more so you will know what to say and how to say it.

Submit and surrender everything to the Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to do God’s will in your life. Draw yourself near to God, and He shall draw near to you..And the more your draw near to Him the more He will reveal himself to you and the more He wants you to be more like Him.
